BT 7500 Cordless DECT Phone : Phone handsets 7500

It seems to me this product is just a re-badged bt sonus 1500. In fact the charging bases actually say bt sonus on them, thus not matching either the photo on the website nor the picture on the box they came in. If i’d have read the sonus reviews first i wouldn’t have bought them. Regarding the product itself the main problem for me was the very diffucult to read display. Black letters on a blue background is pretty hopeless, and the supposed contrast control appears to do nothing. Also the selective ringtone for particular callers feature only works some of the time. I note amazon say they have lithium ion batteries. This is incorrect, they are nimh. Made use of the top notch amazon returns facility.

Screen not as clear and easy to read as 6500. I have gone back to my old 6500.

Having tried several cordless phones, i now have ones which are easy and a pleasure to use. I am impressed by the fact that only one handset needs a phone connection. I am impressed by the fact that info fed into any of the sets is automatically copied on the others. Being hard of hearing, i use the speaker ‘hands free’ all the time. The volume is adequate, even when i am not wearing my hearing aid. However, i have yet to learn whether a user of one handset can ‘mute’ the other handsets, in order to make a private call.

Great phones for clarity and use. The lit screen could be a bit brighter though.

Arrived on time, works well although very quiet even though the volume is turned right up.

This works for us but the choice of phones is. This works for us but the choice of phones is vast and i can only suggest that you study specs. Carefully and find the phone that you need.

    Very versatile and the phone book memory is capacious, also it is only necessary to make an entry in one handset and the other is automatically updated. Super system but we have only one reservation, the keys are near impossible to read without bright ambient light, why don’t the designers think of older people too – big letters, big numbers and a sharper contrast between background phone colour and key colour?n dunning.

    Bought to replace previous phones that had been damaged. Like the fact that they update each other with internal phonr directory.

    1. Disappointment with the bt7500. My disappointment is with the darkness of the screen and while the contrast can be adjusted i cannot find any means to adjust the brightness. I’m sorry i didn’t go for the panasonic which has a much clearer display.

    1. The handsets do what i need. Automatically updating 2nd handset is useful. Intercom was one of reasons i chose it. Battery lasts a long time off the charge stand. On the downside, entering numbers doesn’t seem so smooth, or quick enough. Keypad buttons flat and awkward; i would have expected more ergonomically raised, and rounded designed number pads. As this is my first modern hands free phone handset i dont know if there are better around, but for the ‘as new’ price i paid, under £30, they will do me fine, so overall i am satisfied.

    1. Good quality and just what was required, our old bt phones just gave up the ghost, after long service, so a god replacement.
