BT Diverse 7460 Dect Cordless Phone, It works but clumsy interface lets it down

This product is very good really useful very smart looking as it s my 3 rd diverse phone all of which were excellent products thank you diverse keep up the good work.

It works but clumsy interface lets it down. Easy to set up but the slow/clumsy interface is a real shock when you’re used to the speed and ease of use of mobile phones. Base station sound has deteriorated after 6months use.

I spent a long time researching a new cordless phone and decided to go with this one because it had all the features i needed and more. Some of the useful features i like most are:1. You can make and receive calls on the base unit (if you want to answer a call quickly and can’t find the handset for instance). You can stick the sim card from your mobile phone in the base unit and copy all the phone numbers off your mobile into the address book. It has a very easy to use screen menu on the handset. All in all, it’s the best phone i’ve ever had – i love it. Just bought the ‘robust’ spare handset to go with it (to take in the garden with me).  bt diverse 7200 dect cordless additional handset – black.

I bought this phone for i wanted one with a speakerphone on the base station so that if the handset goes ‘walkies’ which is often does, i can still quickly answer the phone on the base station. The contact list is 1 name 1 number and number of letters in the name is not long so you may have to simplfied e. Jennyw mobile and jennyw home etc. Menu system easy to use as well. I have had this phone for 4 -5 months and generally am very happy with it.

BT Diverse 7460 Dect Cordless Phone with Answer Machine – Black : The phone has a large display and a separate keyboard for basic phone that allows you to make a call regardless of the handset. The display allows you to see in the dark at low light conditions. Answering machine is easy to handle and has good sound quality. Memory of a basic phone can be easily transferred to your handset. I think that this model phone is worth the price that was paid £ 73. Other models of phones with such feature set does not exist.

    Technically a very good home phone with great features. Technically a very good home phone with great features, only let down by the answering machine part which distorts the voice recording to such an extent that messages are almost impossible to understand.

    For a year it worked fine and suddenly loudspeaker got broken on the main phone. It makes cranky noise when i try to listen to voicemails now and i only able to listen to them on a handset itself. Otherwise was happy with the phone just expect it to last a bit longer at that price.

    Easy to use but ringtones are a bit simple, otherwise a reasonable product. Useful to be able to load address book from a sim card.

    Overall an excellent phone but one niggle. After searching all over the internet and shops for a good speakerphone i decided on this phone primarily for the phone base. Overall this is a great product especially considering the price and the alternatives, which i would say are those manta ray shaped conference phones paired with a wireless handset. One complaint i have is the inability to use the base to make a call and then move over to the handset and vice versa, once you are talking on one you can’t move to the other (or both at the same time). I bought the phone mainly for the base speaker phone function but there are times where i would like to be discrete for parts of my conversations. I have found the best way to manage my contacts is to set them up on the base, clear the handset and then copy from the base to the handset. If you don’t clear them you will end up with duplicates. It is also possible to copy s single entry at a time. The contact unfortunately is limited to a single number and the number of letters in the name is limited but generally sufficient. I am very happy i bought this phone.
