Most of the ones i’ve had are packed with features i don’t use and, as a result, complicated menus that can make it hard to get to those features which i do use. This phone sticks to the basics and therefore makes the features it does have easy and quick to get at and use. Simple big buttons also make it very easy to use, even if you fingers are still slim and nimble. Unless you need an advanced feature which this phone lacks, i’d very much recommend it.
Does what it says on the box. Clear loud sound quality, easy to set up, easy to use. Nice big, easy to read buttons, the screen display could be bigger too, but i can still make a call without glasses if i need to. Some odd ring tones, but have found one that’s ok. Would have preferred one that was wall-mountable, but, hey, we’ve made our own little shelves for them.
Ticks allthe boxes for older users. . I had read all the reviews before i’d ordered these for my 87 yr old mum. So i was looking for something simple but effective for her. On reciept of them found you can even pass your phonebook list from one handset to another, rather like older nokia mobiles, going into the phonebook and pressing options, go down to copy or copy all and select, it then asks for which handset to copy to, select which and if both, one handset at a time. You need to confirm on the recieving handset) easy peasy. Hope this is of help to any future purchasers.
We binned our old sleek new style dect phones in favour of these more traditional ‘chunky’ handsets. Good value for money and work extremely well. Menus and programming are easy, easy to see numbers and display.
We bought this set of telephones for my elderly mother-in-law, but as she couldn’t get the hang of them, we use them instead. The look and the feel of the handsets is good and i love the big chunky buttons. The only downside is that i cannot get the ringer to work on my upstairs extension, which is a complete pain as i’ve tried a number of ways around it. The answerphone is clear and easy to use, so i’d imagine, apart from the ringer, that this would make a good telephone set for any household.

A great digital handset package, which is easy to use, is accessible to most and represents good value for money. Personally i cannot fault the bt freestyle 750, which has, in my particular version, three cordless handsets. The instructions are very clear indeed, although it must be stated that if you are one of those people who has a habit of using new gadgets without first reading the instructions, then this might impede your capacity to make the most of it. As we have a hearing-aid user in the family, the fact that it is hearing-aid compatible is an additional advantage, although to make the most of this facility it is important to set the hearing aid to the ‘loop’ program (or ‘t’ setting in some hearing aids). The ‘speaker phone’ option also allows hearing-aids to be used without the above setting, which is particularly useful when a telephone conversation is required to be shared with other members of family or friends. The large number display is helpful to those with eyesight impediments (including those who require glasses to read a conventional display, but do not wish to be seen wearing them. Yes, i have them in my family, too)the answering machine is very easy to use and can be initiated via a simple button press. The intercom is a great facility for anyone wishing to communicate with others in the home, including disabled persons, for instance, who may have difficulty moving around the house to maintain essential communications. Overall, it is a handset that makes communication accessible to everyone in a family regardless of their personal handicaps or limitations and consequently i would heartily recommend it to all for ease of use and general accessibility.
I bought this for my mum, she is 85, and could not hear the phone. It has turned out to be brilliant, she can hear it, and hold it, (as the other one would slip out of her hand) and the answer machine beeps so she now knows when someone has left a message.
