Bt8500 enhanced call blocker. Bought for my elderly parents who were getting bombarded with sales calls. Their nuisance calls are virtually non-existence now. Good price and fast delivery.

This system has worked well not any unwanted calls.

These phones do exactly what they are supposed to do and that is screen calls from people you may not want to speak to while giving genuine callers the opportunity to speak thier name and then press a key on thier own handsets. If this key press is not made after giving the caller 2 chances the call is not put through. The need for the key press stops those pre-recorded calls. Unlike some call screening devices this unit does give the genuine anonymous caller the opportunity to be connected (eg my doctors who always withold thier number). Genuine callers would normally follow the instructions and after that you can add thier numbers to the bt 8500’s phone book or the allowed list so that in future they are connected without the screening process. You can also add numbers to your phone book before any calls are placed so that caller is never screened. Eg i just popped my mums number in the phone book and, to her, ours is just a normal phone. There are other options for vips who can contact you at any time while the bt 8500 can be set up to refuse all calls made between certain hours. Maybe daytime for night workers or more usually night time for the rest of us.

Delivered very quickly, well boxed. Best phone we have ever had. No awful calls anymore, totally blocks all nuscence calls. Would highly recommend this product.

BT8500 Enhanced Call Blocker Cordless Home Phone – Single Handset Pack : Perfect as described, call blocking features are really helpful as and easy to use. Great sound quality and can hear clearly whilst taking even with background noise.

    The phone is good but the manual seems pretty useless. I just seems to describe what you can see on the screen without any explanation.
