Had these a few days and so far very pleased. Apart from the call filtering (which seems to work well) a prime advantage for me is that all handsets automatically sync address book data with each other (which my old panasonic set didn’t and was a pain to have to edit each handset individually for changes and deletions). To avoid nuisance to callers while you get it set up (which can take a while if you have numerous contacts) i recommend either you set the call filtering to off until you have finished entering all your contact data, or you enter your contact data before you connect it to your land line (the manual says connect it before entering data, but you don’t have to)take the manual’s instruction to ‘charge the batteries for 24 hours before using’ with a large pinch of salt. They come already partially charged, and an overnight charge is fine. In fact you can start entering contacts etc straight out of the box (but a good charge before using it for a lengthy chat would certainly be a good idea).

BT8600 Additional Handset and Charger : Dead easy to add to the set. I bought this additional handset for my sun room. Dead easy to add to the set. Just press the find button on the main set and it sets time, date, address book etc.

    Best bit of kit out there well worth the. Bought the dual handset version. Can honestly say it’s money well-spent. Gets rid of all the scam, the calls that ring & nobody’s there and those telesales calls. If you do get a call & you answer it but do not wish another call from the callers you can permanently block that number. Best bit of kit out there well worth the money.

    1. Good phone but doesn’t link in with other phones. It works, however i can’t do the things on this handset by my bed that i can on the others as it is a different model but it has stopped the one ring i’d get with the other phone everytime a call was incoming then blocked no it doesn’t ring at all which is a plus just wish it was able to communicate with the other two phones and link in to update the phonebook etc.

    Good phone but doesn’t link in with other phones.     Bt8600 additional handset and charger. . I already had a single master unit and found it difficult to get a single additional handset. This one works fine, why does bt not sell it?.

    Useful addition to multi phone system just remember to register it on the system. . I purchased one to add to our existing setup with four phones, only thing is you need to register it on the system by going to setup changing the name and registering before the system recognises it. Excellent phones with effective nuisance blocking.
