Doro Comfort 1010 Twin Cordless DECT Telephone : So we have replaced these with Comfort phones and I’m able to easily speak to the caller without delay

Doro comfort 1010 twin cordless dect telephone. I bought this because i have damaged hearing. Not only does it have variable volume but the sound quality is good and i can hear well with it without other aids. The display is not very clear and for that reason i have given it only 4 stars.

This is a great product that more than meets expectations. Plus has an affordable price tag.

Simple but thought out to help people lacking good hearing, is clear for those needing glasses and straightforward for those who are not computer savvy. All this for a very moderate price. Here are the specifications for the Doro Comfort 1010 Twin Cordless DECT Telephone:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Loud and clear sound (24dB)
  • GAP compatible
  • Register a maximum of 6 phones to a single base station
  • Hearing aid compatible, High contrast LCD display with speakerphone
  • User Manual

So we have replaced these with doro comfort phones and i’m able to easily speak to the caller without delay. As i don’t hear well on the phone i need to use the loudspeaker button when i’m answering it. We already three of these doro cordless phones and we had two more in different makes where the loudspeaker button was difficult to find in a hurry. So we have replaced these with doro comfort phones and i’m able to easily speak to the caller without delay. Excellent for me with a hearing problem.

Simple cordless phone but does all the basics well.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good for the hard of hearing

  • Ideal for oldies.

Not had it long, but my 92 year old mum found it much better to use, hear and see than others she has had. Simple to use, big buttons, no fiddly ones. Screen big with good contrast.

Perfect for a slightly deaf 88 year old. I bought these phones for my father who is 88 and getting a bit hard of hearing. He previously only had one phone and was having trouble hearing it ring, getting to the phone before the answering service cut in, and hearing the conversation. The additional phone next to his favourite chair, the loud ring, and handset volume control has solved all these problems.

Phones are ok but can not switch between them and existing phones mid call.
    1. Good for the hard of hearing. Only get 4 stars because of two shortcomings: a lot of crackling when first picked up and a digits display which isn’t that easy to read. The crackling goes away after a few seconds which suggests its something to do with establishing the link to the base, but it makes it difficult to hear the first words of a caller. The display is large and well defined in shape and contrast but its like the old style 7 segment displays and the characters are narrow, which can make it difficult to read. The ringer and the voice output are adjustable from quiet to quite loud. The buttons are quite large and clearly marked. The handsets are nice to hold but not very stable in their bases. Instructions on how to use the menu system are concise but a bit ambiguous in places. I bought 3 sets of two and use 5, cheaper than buying 2 sets of 3 or a 2 and a 3 at the time.
