A good design with controls clearly marked and well laid out. Does the job well but volume could be a little louder. Week point is the rather grey led display which could be clearer.

Great phone for handsfree use. Speaker sound is loud and clear.

Great phone but the 110w is worth the extra. Great phone but would highly recommend the 110w version over this one. Here are the specifications for the Doro PhoneEasy 105W Single DECT Cordless Phone:

Excellent for my near deaf mother [with hearing aid. ]

The number of rings before the answer phone cuts in is limited to 5 which is too short for my requirements. I will give the machine away to someone who can cope with this weakness.

  1. Good and not so good points. I found this a bit awkward to set up so my dad would never have done it. I bought this for my dad, it has nice big white numbers on a black background which is easy for him to see as he has macular degeneration. The negative side is the display screen, the number you dial doesn’t show fully across the screen, and the background colour would be better if it was white with thick black numbers or black with thick white numbers and icons. The fast dial numbers makes it easy for him to ring his usual contacts and this is why i kept it.

    Nothing to say about the quality. But, i am surprised about some few things which have not been very well thought for a telephone supposed to be used by old people. It begins with the way to find the contacts. You have to press twice on a littlest button. The setting is a little too sophisticated too for old people.

    Not as loud as i thought and one of the handsets is playing up after a year. Would be better if the display colour was white with black numbers not yellow.

    Extremely good,but one vital instruction left out of the manual meant difficulty in connecting the second hand set to the base set.

    Phone for the hard of hearing. If like me you are finding it difficult to understand what some people are saying on your phone,then this is the phone for you.

      1. Very good for older person – large screen and loud. I bought this for my 76 year old mother who seems able to ‘kill’ most electrical devices. Thus far it has survived and seems easy to use once set up. I think it wasn’t exactly easy to set up so she needed help from a neighbour but now it seems to be working well and is suitably large-screened and loud. We bought two normal phones and one with an answerphone built in.

    This is my second go at this phone; amazon replaced the first one for me as it had never worked properly and i had great difficulty getting hold of the company, who are based in france. The instruction book is rather difficult to follow – indeed, it is quite complicated to access many of the functions – and i was obliged to contact the company again for advice. This time i emailed rather than phoned, and got much better service than before. However, i bought the phone because supposedly it is suitable for those with hearing problems, but the loudspeaker function and hearing aid compatibility are nothing to write home about really. I wouldn’t buy one again, let’s say. But it is good looking, the answering machine works well, it has a useful display and lots of functions (if you can get at them).
