Gigaset C430A Cordless Phone, Good simple phone.

Great value for money – highly recommended. Great phones – sound quality excellent for the price (and anyway), easy set up. The only glitch for me is the range of ring-tones for when the phone is in the base seems very limited compared to phone out of cradle.

Works with s685ip base station. I needed new handsets for my s685 (ip) base station, and these seemed like a cheap option to get 3. The siemens configurator web site had no idea if they’d work together so i took the risk and bought them anyway. They work perfectly with this base station, i can transfer phone books, do internal calls, ip calls and so on.

I liked the simplicity of this phone but had to return. I liked the simplicity of this phone but had to return it because it didn’t have hands free, and i couldn’t hear the person on the other end clearly.

Gigaset C430A Cordless Phone with Answering Machine and Anonymous Call Silencing (Pack of 2) : Not as weighty and therefore feels a bit more flimsy then my previous phone. But it’s easy to use, programme and sound quality is good, so what more can you ask.

    Good phones but the phones are not that good at stopping nuisance calls.

    I got this twin set to replace my bt ones pact in after many years. I found them easy to set up and they have all the things i want a hand set to do and didn’t break the bank to buy them. So i am very happy with them.

    1. This review is for the gigaset c430a the manual and documentation is very poor. We spent ages trying to program the time and date. We had to ring the helpline to learn how to enter numbers in the phone book. The phone itself appears to be quite good (early days yet) they really do need to revisit the documentation. For example we were trying to use the navigation button. We didn’t realise and nowhere do they tell you that you have to press the thin metal strips that frame the button. Manufacturers should get non nerds to try out using the manual before publication.
