Gigaset C430A Cordless Phone : Not at all disappointed.

This phone is an excellent product. Nicely designed and easy to use. Made in germany instead of elsewhere which really says it all as far as we are concerned. Have had gigaset products before and they have never let me down.

I got this twin set to replace my bt ones pact in after many years. I found them easy to set up and they have all the things i want a hand set to do and didn’t break the bank to buy them. So i am very happy with them.

Good phones but the phones are not that good at stopping nuisance calls.

Great, easy to use, sound is good and does the job.

I liked the simplicity of this phone but had to return. I liked the simplicity of this phone but had to return it because it didn’t have hands free, and i couldn’t hear the person on the other end clearly.

A good phone (for the first two years. ). I bought two of these december 2014. Clear logical controls easy to read screen, many useful features but may 2017 sometimes the handset doesn’t take a charge from the base station. Gigaset posted me a new charger. I’ve tried the handset in a different base station where it works perfectly. Thus i think the base station is at fault. Gigasets repair contracter say they will examine it but this will incur a charge as it is out of warranty (and it will leave me without a phone till this one gets repaired).

    Works with s685ip base station. I needed new handsets for my s685 (ip) base station, and these seemed like a cheap option to get 3. The siemens configurator web site had no idea if they’d work together so i took the risk and bought them anyway. They work perfectly with this base station, i can transfer phone books, do internal calls, ip calls and so on.

    This review is for the gigaset c430a the manual and documentation is very poor. We spent ages trying to program the time and date. We had to ring the helpline to learn how to enter numbers in the phone book. The phone itself appears to be quite good (early days yet) they really do need to revisit the documentation. For example we were trying to use the navigation button. We didn’t realise and nowhere do they tell you that you have to press the thin metal strips that frame the button. Manufacturers should get non nerds to try out using the manual before publication.

    Hold their charge much better than the old version ( which had new batteries in).
