This is still a useful device, but i think you need to manage some expectations:screen:compared to the stunning iphone 4 retina display, this looks bad. There’s no other way to put it. If this was 2005, you’d look at the screen and think ‘hey, that’s pretty good’. But in 2010, apple raised the bar, very high, with their ‘retina’ display. Here, you can definitely discern the pixels (see video). (to be fair to icreation, it’s not like they can compete with apple’s economies of scale)interface:they have been inspired by apple, clearly. I kept wanting to press the icons on the screen, but it’s not a touch screen. So, it doesn’t feel as ‘natural’. Next, the menus are not very easy to navigate through.
On the surface this seems like a very good idea until you begin to commit to it, then use it and really miss your iphone. I can honestly think that it is useful in 2 scenarios. 1) you get no signal in your house except for 1 spot, if you use this in that spot then you can get your calls. This could be a very handy tool2) you eat battery during the day and need to keep it topped up and connected. Aside from this you will probably find that all the cool stuff your phone did is not getting used and you will no doubt revert very quickly to just using your iphone. Practicality wise its very simple to setup and use, it looks nice, bit better than a normal dect phone as it has an element of apple about the screen just a very low res version. All in all not great and maybe a touch expensive but not totally without use either.

I use mine at the office and it replaced my old phone but now i only have to carry one phone. One thing i would say is i can’t seem to transfer calls internally but that could be me.
I think the level of usefulness of this package will depend on just how much you run down your iphone battery. The handset supplied with the device works fine and linking it to the iphone via bluetooth proved straightforward. So you can then use the handset to make and take calls via your iphone. But i guess you would only really do that if your iphone was low on battery and sat in the neat charging cradle on this device. I like the charging cradle it is neat and saves the usual scrabbling around to find the charging lead. As far as i could work out the connection between the two devices via bluetooth means that there is no way to transfer iphone contacts details to the device handset which limits its functionality somewhat. (if someone has found a way to do this then i’ll be pleased to be corrected). I see from other reviews that a number of the positive reviews are from business users who doubtless make heavy use of the iphone and thus demands on battery life. I’m not in that category so i found it less useful.
Reviews from purchasers :
- A good idea I never knew I needed
- Managing expectations
- Computer say meh!
Icreation i650 dect cordless phone with bluetooth. I have a very poor mobile signal in most of the house so that it’s not possible to reliably make or receive mobile calls. The icreation i650 dect cordless phone with bluetooth enables me to place the mobile (a galaxy s3) on an upstairs window ledge where it’s possible to get a signal, and then connect the s3 by bluetooth to the dect phone. As a result i am now able to make and receive mobile calls all over the house.
Really easy to set up and easy to use. I can charge my iphone whilst still being able to make and receive calls from anywhere around the house.I have been using it for a couple of months as a regular landline home phone (you can store plenty of numbers) and can even use it to charge my regular ipod. A great piece of kit, so long as you’re happy with the price.
