Panasonic KX-TGH260 Link2Mobile tooth Cordless Phone : Satisfied, but not ecstatic

Plug and play these are excellent phones they ooze quality and style.

Have a poor mobile signal in house. Have a poor mobile signal in house , so able to leave locate mobile in the best signal location and every call routes into the new dect phones great product so far.

Best phone have so far and with the bluetooth. Here are the specifications for the Panasonic KX-TGH260 Link2Mobile tooth Cordless Phone:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Link to Mobile
  • Up to 2 mobile phones can be registered
  • Call Block Up to 250 Unwanted Numbers
  • Answering System with 20 minutes recording time
  • Cool and Stylish Designed (Large Colour LCD)

Works very well easy to setup.

Works perfectly but tacky design. I have a home gigaset which i think used to be siemens which is a really classy well made phone but it does not have blue tooth which is why i purchased this. It is more like a dennis fisher toy in it’s design with tacky buttons and a bad screen however, it does work perfectly and it was easy to set up and does exactly what it says on the box. It’s a shame panasonic cannot up their game with quality but i am happy because it does what i wanted to do, a reasonable purchase.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Not as good as the reviews would lead you to believe.
  • So far so good. You need to use your initiative at times
  • So far so good. My mobile links to them everytime so that

Good phones that do the job. These are good dect phones that work well. I bought this set of three handsets to replace existing dect phones because i wanted the link to mobile feature. I am always leaving my mobile phone in a different room to where i currently am, usually because it is plugged in and kept on charge where the mobile signal is good, so i either do not hear the mobile call or have to rush to get it and often miss the call. By contrast i have dect extensions to my landline in different rooms of my house and so i rarely miss a landline call. Being able to take and make mobile calls on my dect phones is very convenient. These phones work well as normal dect landlines phones. Taking mobile calls and making mobile calls from the mobile handsets works well. They link well with my mobile using bluetooth.

Mobile function works and looks nice, if a little light weight. Navigation of functions is slow, much slower than my old panasonic phone. Poorly designed menus and too many button pushes to carry out simple tasks. Instructions impenetrable too.

  1. Ok but could have been better. Well the good points are it came promptly and does what it says on the can – once you figure out all the instructions. The only real issue i have with it is the not uncommon criticism that the sound quality is poor. Pity with all this technology that it could not have been better. I am experimenting a bit with it and have rendered some impoverishment by setting up the noise reduction and opting for bass equalisation. On using the remote answerphone some of the messages were inaudible over the mobile and i am not sure why yet. They were audible when i got home directly from the machine so that is another issue to ponder. Possibly too much digital encoding and decoding at too low a bit rate.

Not as good as the reviews would lead you to believe. . These phones have their good and bad points. Bought because of the reviews and reports that sound quality was very good. Having used them for some time now i am not convinced. Have had feedback from my family that the volume is low despite being fully turned up from my end. Speaker function is useful and tends to be used most.

If only we didn’t have to pay fixed line line rental, in the lifetime of mobile services. . So it is a bizarre thing that we have unlimited minutes on our mobile and then have to pay for unlimited on our land line too. Annoyingly i have to pay line rental when broadband is delivered over coaxial cable. But since my mother is on payg and unlimited bt this works for her. Incoming calls can still be recieved while outgoing made over mobile. And given that smartphones spend half their life on charge. Plays nicely with the parrot in the car, i have not noticed any issues switching over, which is surprising considering the pettiness of blackberry 10’s bluetooth stack. Will post a review on apple when vodaphone get my sister connected.

Superb innovation – a must have product. I originally discovered this superb panasonic innovation by accident via the ces show some years ago and then it was only available in the states under the name of “link to cell” and far more bulky. I wrote to panasonic asking if it would be made available in the uk but never received the courtesy of any response. I ended up purchasing one from an american company and found it invaluable; particularly as for a number of years i opted not to have a landline. I only discovered this uk version by accident and bought it immediately; it’s much neater than its american counterpart and has improved functionality in that when answering a mobile call there’s no delay in being connected, the american version had an annoying 3 to 4 second delay before you could speak to the calling party. I’m delighted with my purchase and as usual amazon’s service was awesome. I’m really surprised that panasonic haven’t advertised this superb product. On searching google amazon was the only uk stockist and when they released it in the states there were a string of very good tv adverts. I’m sure if panasonic made the public aware of “link to mobile” sales would be very buoyant.

    1. Hardware good – software poor. I’m perfectly satisfied with the hardware and call quality, but the software controlling the displays leaves a lot to be desired as i make great use of call lists and pre-programmed numbers. Accessing stored numbers, calls in and calls out is a real choreoutgoing calls are on another page to incominglook at any outgoing call and there is no record of when it was made. If a call is received without a number it isn’t logged – displaying ‘ no number’ is too much for the panasonic programmers to add.

    1. Sound quality not the best. . I bought this to replace another panasonic set that i had for more than 10 years. The sound quality is not as good and load as my previous one but it is stylish and very easy to set up. I like panasonic phones in general.
