Panasonic KX-TGJ324EB Quad Handset Cordless Home Phone, Easy to set but not all good news

Have been very pleased with this purchase. The setup was reasonably easy with ample explanatory notes supplied. I would recommend this purchase.

Just not as good as my old panasonic set. Just not as good as my old panasonic set, there is an annoying delay in general, scrolling the phone book is painful, customers say they cant hear me while on speaker phone and you have to ‘wake up’ the phone before dialing else you constantly find the 1st digit missing.

A good, value for money, internal and external phone set-up. . A very useful improvement on the bt set it replaced. Long winded method for retrieving stored numbers could be improved, intercom works very well, especially for transferring calls, and it even supports a handset in the garden room.

Thank goodness for long lasting batteries, we can now have longish conversations with distant friends and family without the fear of batteries going flat. Using speakerphone gives ample volume. A great novelty to group callers into categories and use a different ring tone for each group so easy to identify whether to answer in person or let go onto answer machine. The range of the dect devices is sufficient to cover the whole house so strategically placed handsets enable us to answer without rushing to master phone point.

We paid £79. 99 for the this package on amazon and think it is a great package for the price and here’s why -. We have tried many digital cordless phones over the years including panasonic, samsung, binatone and bt models but have found a personal preference for the panasonic models. Our last panasonic phones lasted about 4 years before we had to replace them. It may sound odd, crazy even but as there are so many home phone sets on the market we took a few months to decide what would suit our needs more before finally deciding on the panasonic kx-tgj323eb trio cordless handset, we were not dissapointed with our choice. With an excellent build quality, [what you would expect from panasonic anyway the best features on this phone are the following:1/ call block feature – block nuisance callers and telemarketers (although you can subscribe freely to the telephone preference service tps to opt out of telemarketing calls) this is still useful because some telemarketers still ignore this and call anyway – hence the need for this feature. 2/ the phone reads aloud the name of your caller whilst the phone is ringing – this is a really handy feature, you can now avoid dashing to the phone only to find out it is someone that you can call back later or just avoid all together. Simply put – this feature is my favourite because you can be cooking, gardening or doing something where it is inconvenient to just get up to reach for the phone only to realise it is someone you can let go to answer machine and call back at a more convenient time. For those contacts you know may be emergencies – you know as soon as the phone rings. [note:you need caller id for this feature to work which is usually an extra feature you have to pay for monthly with your line rental provider]3/ the phone book update on this model allows you to have more than one number per contact. Which cuts down on the number of contacts. ]

Will not block calls shown as ‘out of area’, but these are all presumably from another country and simply be ignored. Effective at blocking withheld numbers and ones you choose to block, but one company uk preference use multiple numbers. I have blocked each one and hope they do not have many morethe menus are easy to negotiate and there is a large capacity phone book.

    1. Returned and purchased a set of bt 8600. I was disappointed with these phones. The operation seemed very dated and “clunky” and have since returned them and purchased a set of bt8600 (also on amazon) that offer a lot more for less.

    Great offer and reviews convinced me to buy this. No regrets, but was disappointed that contact album/list from one handset is not automatically carried over to the other unit via the base. My previous twin handset i replaced had this useful feature. Sound quality is very clear.

  6. Excellent phones, excellent price compared to everywhere else. I love the feature where it tells you the number that is ringing. You can decide whether to get out of the chair or not.

    1. Does the job although the display is a bit clunky. Needed a new phone with answering and 2 extensions for kitchen & bedroom in new house with rubbish mobile signal. Couldn’t be bothered faffing round with cables again. This does the job although the display is a bit clunky. I probably don’t use all features. As with most new phones that need a power supply, if the electricity goes off so does your phone, so as well to have a single cheap basic handset to plug directly into the bt socket.
